Q: What is the minimum age to attend events?

All attendees must be a minimum of 18 years old. 

Q: Are retreats and events refundable/transferable?

All of our events are non-refundable. If an event is waitlisted and there is an interested attendee, we can help arrange a ticket transfer.

Q: What happens in case of host cancellation or emergency changes? 

Any changes will be communicated to you as soon as possible via your provided email. You can find our detailed cancellation policy HERE.

Q: Who are the events for?
Our events are designed with women in mind, creating a cozy and welcoming space for women and gender-diverse people who feel most comfortable in women-centred environments. We are a proudly queer-inclusive business, and all guests are expected to contribute to a safe, respectful, and affirming space for everyone. While our events are focused on women, please note that male staff or service providers may be present on-site to help support event operations.​

Q: Are pets allowed?

As much as we love furry friends, pets are not permitted at our events. If you have a service animal, please reach out prior to booking. 

Q: Do you have accommodations for special diets, dietary restrictions and allergies?

We are able to accommodate vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, as well as most food allergies if identified prior to arrival. Please ensure you indicate all dietary requirements at the time of booking.

Q: Are your events physically accessible? 

We strive to make our events as physically accessible as possible, but accessibility can vary depending on the venue, location, and type of event. If you have specific mobility or accessibility needs, we kindly ask that you reach out to us before booking, so we can chat through the details and confirm whether the experience will be a comfortable and safe fit for you. We’re always happy to work with you to accommodate wherever we can!

Q: If an event is sold out, is there a waitlist?
In the case of a sold-out retreat, please fill out the waitlist form and you will be notified if a spot becomes available.  

Q: Is smoking permitted?

All of our events are smoke free.

Q: Can I come with a friend?

Absolutely! We love when friends retreat together. Some of our retreats offer the option to share a room (or even a bed) with your chosen book buddy at a reduced rate. Just be sure to select the appropriate accommodation type when booking, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Q: Can I come by myself?

Absolutely! The retreat is designed so that everyone can make new connections whether they are attending solo or with a friend. A Virtual Meet and Greet will take place over Zoom the week before your retreat, so attendees can meet each other, and there will be a retreat specific WhatsApp group for communication before, during & after the retreat. 

Q: What should I bring to the retreat?
Please check your welcome package for a recommended packing list. Besides your books (obviously), some retreats will require you to bring specific items such as ​bedding and towels. ​

Q: Can I bring my own food and alcohol to the retreat? 

We’ve got you covered with five delicious meals (from Friday dinner through to Sunday breakfast) plus some light snacks to keep you fueled between chapters. That said, if you have a favourite go-to snack you can’t live without, feel free to bring it along!

 

Some retreats are alcohol/substance-free, otherwise, feel free to bring your own drinks.

Q: What’s the vibe like? Will there be structured activities or downtime?

Our retreats are designed to be as flexible as you need them to be. Want to join in on a guided outdoor activity, cozy campfire hangout, or a chill craft session? Amazing, we’ve got those! Prefer to disappear into the trees with a book and not come out for 12 hours? Also perfect. This is your time to unwind, recharge, and do whatever fills your cup.

You’ll get a Welcome Package when you register with all the details, like meal times and an optional activity schedule, so you can plan your days exactly how you like them.

Q: Is there wifi at the camp or should I plan to unplug?

There is wifi available, speeds will depend on the location of the retreat.
